FREEDLINE Nell M. Freedline, age 92, of Hilliard, Wednesday, October
21, 1998 at the Arbors at Hilliard. Preceded in death by husband
Gladen Freedline, parents Kirby and Ella Schleich, brothers and
sisters Ruth James, John Schleich, Windfield Schleich, Earl Schleich,
Robert Schleich and Jean Riegel. Survived by sisters-in-law, Jessie
Schleich and Florence Schleich; many nieces and nephews. Graveside
service to be held 11 a.m. Friday, at the Glen Rest Cemetery,
Reynoldsburg. Pastor James Riggs officiating. Please omit flowers.

Robert Grimm Schleich, age 81, of Hilliard, Monday, July 29, 1996 at
the residence. Retired from Suburban Motor Freight. Volunteer at Mt.
Carmel Hospital for 16 years. Survived by wife of 56 years, Florence;
son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Irene of Johnstown; daughter, Donna
Schleich of Plain City; grandchildren, Kimberly Miller and Robert
Schleich; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Nell Freedline of Hilliard;
nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. Friends may call 2-4 and
7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the TIDD FUNERAL HOME, 5265 Norwich St., Hilliard,
where funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday. Interment Forest
Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mt.

Cheryl Kelley EMPORIA // Cheryl K. Kelley, 43, Emporia, died Monday,
Nov. 27, 2000, at an Emporia hospital. Mrs. Kelley was a home
economist in Rocky Ford, Colo., and she had been a licensed dietitian
and a registered diabetics educator at Newman Hospital in Emporia the
past 11 years. She was born Jan. 10, 1957, in Stafford, the daughter
of Harold and Susan Soule Thole. She graduated from Stafford High
School in 1974, and attended Adela Hale Business College in
Hutchinson. She also graduated from Hutchinson Junior College and
earned a degree in home economics at Kansas State University in 1981.
She became a registered diabetic educator through The University of
Kansas. Mrs. Kelley was a member of 12th Avenue Baptist Church in
Emporia, Blue Stem Swingers Square Dance Organization in Emporia and
the Emporia Friends of the Zoo. She married Brian Kelley on Aug. 14,
1999, in Emporia. He survives. Other survivors include her parents,
Harold and Sue Thole, Stafford; a sister, Paula Figgs, Topeka; and two
brothers, Murray Thole, Des Moines, Iowa, and Greg Thole, Stafford.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bethel Baptist Church in
Emporia. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Emporia. Visitation
will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home
in Lebo. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes
Association, sent in care of the funeral home. |

Freeman G. Soule Sr., 84, Madison, died Saturday, Dec. 5, 1998, at a
hospital in Emporia. He was born July 4, 1914, in Fossil, Wyo., to
Ralph L. and Katheryn Cook Soule. He was an electrician. He was a
member of the United Methodist Church in Madison. He was married to
Rosemond M. Shanks Oct. 21, 1933, in Emporia. They lived in Northport,
L. I., N.Y., before they moved to Madison in 1974. She died May 5,
1987. Daughters Joan Soule and Linda Dionne also preceded him in
death. Survivors include sons, Roger G. Soule, in California, Kenneth
S. Soule, East Northport, L. I., N.Y., and Freeman G. Soule Jr., and
Ernest A. Soule, both in Madison; a foster son, Shawn Bowen, Madison;
a brother, Ralph Soule, East Northport, L. I., N.Y.; sisters, Lois
Busch, Chatham, N.Y., Etta Gravatt, Hughesville, Mo., and Cora Penny,
East Northport, L. I., N.Y.; nine grandchildren and eight
great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the
United Methodist Church in Madison. Burial will be in Blakely Cemetery
northwest of Madison. Relatives and friends will meet from 6to 7:30
p.m. Tuesday at Wilson Funeral Home in Madison. Memorial contributions
may be made to the United Methodist Church in Madison, 66860. |

Linda Lee Dionne, 57, nursing assistant. Linda Lee Dionne, 57, of 180
Pheasant Ridge, died Sunday at Essa Flory Hospice Center after a long
illness. She was a nursing assistant at Manorcare Health Services from
1994 to 1996 and at Nesconset Nursing Home in Nesconset, N.Y., from
1984 to 1992. She was a graduate of Northport High School, Northport,
N.Y. She enjoyed the beach and playing cards and bingo. Born in
Huntington, N.Y., she was the daughter of Freeman Soule of Madison,
Kan., and the late Rosemond Shenk. Surviving besides her father are
two daughters, Cindy Lee, wife of Donald Ledwith of Lancaster, and
Karen Kay, wife of Stevem Wanke or Kennesaw, Ga.; and three grandsons.
