Helen E. Bitler, 76, of Bethlehem Township, died Wednesday, Sept. 12,
in St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was the wife of Robert J.
Bitler. They were married for 53 years in May. Born in Glassport,
Allegheny County, she was a daughter of the late Mile and Milka (Maderic)
Evanovich. She was a former member of Memorial Baptist Church,
Trenton, N.J. She was a member of the Freemansburg Fire Company
auxiliary. Survivors: Husband; son, Robert W. of Bethlehem; daughter,
Donna Sichta
of Berlin, N.J.; sister, Marian Zydel of McKeesport, Allegheny County;
brothers, George of McKeesport, Allegheny County, Peter of Elizabeth,
Allegheny County; four grandchildren. Services: 2 p.m. Friday, Long
Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem. Call 1-2 p.m. Friday.
